A Godard Banking Office - Gouverneur, NY pg 339 & 342 - History of SLC New York - Philadelphia - LH Everts - 1878 - Durant, Samuel W - "A Godard & Co. was established in 1874.  The firm consists of Abel Godard and Hiram Herring.  Cashier A.J. Holbrook.  Banking rooms, opposite the park."

Abel Godard's mother was Mary Ann Rich.  She was the daughter of Salmon Rich (one of the first Richville settlers) &, born on May 16, 1804. She was the first female child born in DeKalb and was the wife of Harlow Godard.

Harlow Godard's father and older Brother were in the War of 1812.  Here are my entries for them from that page on my website:  War of 1812
